Draft Your Pattern
Sometimes we find a hand knitting pattern that has no diagram. Although it can be a bit tedious to copy this pattern, it is possible.
If you aren't a hand knitter, please don't skip this section. The goal is to offer you an opportunity further explore some of the DesignaKnit tools.

Some things to consider:
- It might be easier to determine the basic shape of the sweater and create the basic shape in Standard Garment Styling, then incorporate any "designer" elements to copy the original pattern. (The Designer element of this pattern is the funnel neck)
- If you choose to work from the written instructions, remember to create the design at the original gauge, check the dimensions, then you can use any gauge to knit your sweater

We'll use this pattern to explore reading and translating a text-only pattern and creating a knitting pattern solely in Original Pattern Drafting.
When the pattern is complete, it can be used with any gauge and further modified as you like.
