Sometimes scans from vintage books come out not-so-perfectly. In this example, the grey background makes it more difficult to convert the image.
Building on the skills in the previous example, let's use a few more of the Graphics Studio tools to convert this not-so-perfect image.

Open the image in Graphics Studio
Crop the image
Straighten the image
Use "Tidy Image" to clean it up (remove the grey)
Adjust the settings for a perfect conversion

Remember, you don't have to convert the entire image, identify the repeats and convert a single repeat.

Troubleshooting
Are you having trouble getting a clean conversion? Check these things:
- Check the Image Type

Grid Alignment
- Make sure the size of the grid is correct
- Align the grid by using the corners - one punchcard "hole"per grid box

Enlarge or reduce the "windows"created by the color Sampling Outlines

Adjust the "Black Sensitivity"

In the Yarn colors, click "None" then re-select black and white -
In the Yarn colors, adjust the colors by clicking on the color and adjusting the RGB (red, green, blue) settings
