Establish your gauge before editing with Exact Stitch Layout
When using this feature for a Henley opening (or something similar) is imporatant to be sure to establish your gauge before making Exact Stitch Layout changes.Even a small change in tension can make a huge difference in how the stitches are positioned on the edge of the piece.
Working with a simple shape will give you a taste of the power of this feature. The real power is in using it for slopes and armholes to precisely edit stitch positions, stitch by stitch and row by row.
Notes about Exact Stitch Layout
Making stitch by stitch changes, with Exact Stitch Layout, you may over ride the built-in calculations of DesignaKnit. In other words, prior to edits made with Exact Stitch Layout, DesignaKnit automatically adjusts for these types of errors.
Once edits to your design have been made, the Knit Direction feature will check to see if the knitting makes sense.
